Professor of English at Cambridge University since 2012, Steven Connor is Director of the Centre for Research in the Arts, Social Sciences and Humanities (CRASSH). His research interests include magical thinking; the history of medicine; the cultural life of objects and the material imagination; the relations between culture and science; the philosophy of animals; the body, sense and sexuality; literature, numbers and economics; literature and technology; collective feeling and fantasy; and the history of sound, voice and auditory media.
