Professor Diane Coyle

Bennett Professor of Public Policy at Cambridge University

Diane Coyle is the author of numerous books including GDP: A Brief But Affectionate History, The Economics of Enough, and The Soulful Science (all Princeton University Press). Founder of the consultancy firm Enlightenment Economics, she specialises in the economics of new technologies. Coyle was a member of the Migration Advisory Committee (2007-2012) and the Competition Commission (2001-2009) and served as Vice Chair of the BBC Trust up until April 2015. She was Economics Editor of the Independent from 1993 to 2001, with previous jobs in HM Treasury and DRI Europe.
